Privacy Policy

Xero is a personal planner for IB students. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it lives, and how to get it deleted. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

What we collect

Account data — your email address and a hashed password, managed by Supabase Auth. We never see or store your plain-text password.

Content you create — tasks, planner entries, workouts, routines, habits, metrics, and chat messages with the AI assistant. This data is private to your account, enforced with row-level security in our database.

ManageBac credentials — if you connect ManageBac, we store the login you provide so we can sync your deadlines on your behalf. You can remove it anytime in Settings, which stops all syncing.

Payment data — subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers; we store only your subscription status, plan, and Stripe customer reference.

Telegram — if you link the Telegram bot, we store your Telegram chat ID so the bot can talk to your account.

How AI processing works

Messages you send to the AI assistant (and, for some features, summaries of your recent tasks and workouts) are sent to Groq, our AI model provider, to generate responses. They are used to answer you, not to advertise to you.

Where your data lives

The app is hosted on Vercel and the database runs on Supabase (PostgreSQL). Payments run on Stripe. Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms as our processor.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. Our traffic analytics (Vercel Analytics) are cookie-free and don't track you across sites. The free plan currently shows our own in-house promotions; if third-party advertising is ever introduced, EU visitors will be asked for consent first, as GDPR requires.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account and everything in it permanently deleted. Email us (see Contact) and we'll action it within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your rows from every table via cascading deletes.

Age

Xero is intended for students aged 13 and up. If you are under 16 in the EU, make sure a parent or guardian is okay with you using the app.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll note the new effective date here and flag it in the app.
